GBC Structure

As the GBC grows its structure must grow with it.  The current proposed structure is under review, and may change slightly over the year.

Structure Overview

The general structure involves three tiers of GBC Members: the Executive Group, the Representative Group, and the Members at Large.

The Executive Group consists of the President and the Vice-Presidents of the GBC.  These members are hired in the Spring Semester for a full year term begining May 1.

The Representative Group consists of GBC Directors, Managers, and Program Representatives:

  • Directors are hired in the Spring Semester for an 8 or 12 month term.  Their roles are fairly large and often involve supervising other GBC members.
  • Managers are hired in the Fall Semester for a 4 or 8 month term or in the Winter Semester for a 4 month term.  Their roles involve one specific area of the GBC that could overlap with various projects or events.
  • Program Representatives are hired in Fall for a 4 or 8 month term or in the Winter Semester for a 4 month term.  Program Representatives are responsible for representing the interest of their respective program, and assisting in GBC activities
